Mackenzie Solutions Ltd area of business can be described as "Document Computing", i.e. projects, consultancy and development of systems that collaboratively author, review, manage, assemble and style information components and documents providing automation and quality validation throughout the content life-cycle. We create solutions which allow publishers to get the best value from their information by:
All of these projects contain "structured information" (often combined with other less structured sources) using the WWW consortium standard known as XML. This, (and associated processing technologies) is our prime area of expertise.
We also support companies and institutions outside of publishing who utilise XML as the ideal format for data interchange in Government and B2B systems. We have provided consultancy and development expertise to these "XML adopters" to ensure that they maximise the benefit that XML can provide.
We have also worked with those who create or consume data from MS Word by controlling template use, identifying and validating structure from styles and content and converting the DocX(Open Office XML) format.
Typically, customers who require such a service hold their information in high value and typically deal with either a high volume of data or data that is complex.
Work performed can broadly be broken down into:

- creating completely new publications by combining related information sources;
- publishing to many formats and devices; and
- allowing their users to find, tailor and interact with the information through pathways that best suits their needs.
